Our Collections
Project Name: Harvest of Hope
We collected various donations ranging from grains to snack items. All of the proceeds we collected went to the SOS Children's Village which provides for approximately 200 orphans.
About the SDG:
UNSDG 2: Zero Hunger
UNSDG 2 focuses on resolving world hunger. Currently, in India, around 190 million people go hungry every day, and the Centre reported that in India, "69% of deaths in children under 5 years are due to malnutrition and malnourishment in the year 2022."
The Visit:
We were graciously welcomed by the administration of the orphanage. They allowed us to tour the centre and taught us about the work process at the village. It was a great learning experience, and the site was beautiful!
During our visit, we had the opportunity to bring with us the Grade 9 students from Candor International School. We inspired many students to take steps towards sustainable development and give back to the community.
